Hello @agentrosehq
I trust you’re doing well!
The Pinterest and Twitter button in Social Sharing can have two functions, it can either share a page on Pinterest or redirect to a Pinterest page/profile.
When a link to a profile page is added, and a Pinterest/Twitter app is installed in a mobile, it automatically will show a modal window and will ask to open an app or continue in the browser.
If this is not happening on your phone, please let us know which phone you’re using, the Android/iPhone version, and which browser.
Please advise,
kind regards,
Nastia
I’d like to share the page link itself for whichever page the user is on and thus have left the custom URL blank. I’d like it to take people to the relevant app for all 4 social media places I’ve chosen, but it currently still stays in the browser on mobile.
I have an iPhone 8, on duck duck go browser.
Does it only offshoot people to the relevant apps for Pinterest/Twitter and not any other social media places? I tested Safari and it takes me to pinterest/Twitter but stays in-browser for facebook and reddit.
Hello @agentrosehq,
I just checked this is on iPhone 8 and I see that it does take me to the respective apps. I do see that it would open another browser and ask you to log in. But if you are already logged in to Facebook/ Twitter/ Pinterest, it would take you to the respective app. I did try the same with Duck Duck Go browser and it did work in the case I mentioned.
Could you double-check the same and let me know if that works for you?

Hello,
Yes, I am logged into FB, Twitter, Pinterest, apps on my phone but it doesn’t take me to the apps, it just gives me a new browser.
I updated the duck duck go app too and the above still happens.
Hello @agentrosehq
I trust you’re doing well!
These could be preselected by default on your mobile phone. Perhaps the option “Always open this with this APP” was selected at some point. Or “Never see this option again”.
It looks like an option enabled in your phone settings. Please have a look at these links and check the setting of teh device that you’re using:
