[Resolved] Page with posts

  • Hi I am just wondering if anyone knows how to create a page that will behave like the main page on a wordpress blog. The reason being is that the person I’m helping out is using the Static Front Page plugin to have a page show up on the front page, but they also want to have a weblog page with all the posts.

    Anyways that may have sounded a bit confusing but if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it 🙂

  • Nvm, this seemed to do the trick:

    <?php $my_query = new WP_Query('cat=1&order=DES&showposts=10'); ?>
    <?php while ($my_query->have_posts()) : $my_query->the_post(); ?>
    <h2 id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title(); ?>">
    <?php the_title(); ?></h2>
    <?php the_time('F jS, Y') ?>
    <div class="entry">
    <?php the_content() ?>
    </div>
    <?php endwhile; ?>
