Page with posts with thumbnail pictures

    I have recently created a WP site for my church. I have run across another church site with a feature I would love to incorporate and I would like to know if there is a way to do so using WordPress. It is a Page with Posts that includes a thumbnail picture or graphic with each excerpt. See it at http://www.lynnvalleychurch.com/news. Is there a plug-in that will do something like this? I am using the Weaver Theme, Wheat subtheme. My own site is http://firstunitedsalmonarm.ca

    A similar layout is a built-in part of the Weaver theme. It will show a ‘Featured Image thumbnail’ for all excerpted posts. Here is how to use it:

    • Go to Admin->Weaver Admin->Main Options->Post Page Specifics and check the box ‘Show the Featured Image for excerpted posts:’.
    • Add Featured Images to your Posts.
    • If you want a full Page of posts, create a new blank Page and assign it the template ‘Page with Posts (excerpts)’.
    • Add the new Page with Posts to your menu.

    That’s IT!

    If you don’t want ALL excerpted posts to show an image, it will take a little more work, but it can be done.

    Thanks. That is exactly what I was looking for. It makes the home page look sooo much better!
