  • Permalinks IS what will fix it. Settings > Permalinks

but what do i choose? I do not quite understand how it works – it is set to default – i do not see nor understand how to correct the problem – any link to something i can read and see how to do it?

    thanks

Sure, WordPress Codex is your friend, http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

I have read that page and do not understand what it is that i need to do – I assume that it is the Pretty permalinks – but reading thru this I am still not sure what it is I am looking to do with it (permalinks)

I used this in the custom structure %postname% it looked to sort of work but it because making my links on my menu bar to act strangely – must i go in and manually fix all my links or will they update thru-out the site?

Oh for heavens sake… log into your admin panel and change the permalink structure to either day and name or month and name and you’ll get the result you’re looking for.

i do that and my current pages are gone – replace of course with contact_us.html but nothing appears on them – does that mean i have to recreate all those pages? I do appreciate your help.
