when trying to update one particular page i get this message:

We are currently performing some maintenance on this site. We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Please check back later.

I am using the main admin account, so i don’t know who ‘we’ is supposed to be.

it only happens to that one page, other pages will update just fine.

I thought it must be a common issue so I tried googling for a part of the error but came up with nothing.

    For anyone who googles this.

It was caused by using the word “select” in the post.

Possibly other reserved words could also cause problems?

Have you used some form of maintenance plugin in the past? Looks to me like you’re triggering a plugin. For what it’s worth, I’ve used the word “select” in WordPress posts all over the place and never had a single problem.
