The page templates are visible if the “Page Attributes” support feature is enabled.

You can register support for “Page Attributes” in the settings under the “Supports” property, which is under “Advanced Options”.

I have checked “page attributes” but what is a bit weird is that the “parent”-option and “order”-option appears but not the page-templates. I have also tried with different themes but the templates never appear. Maybe there’s a plugin conflict?

I just did some digging and it appears you can only use page templates for “Pages”. So that’s why. :/

Ok. So, if i understand you correct, this is not possible with the plugin. Is it possible by adding some simple coding?

Page templates, and the fact that you can only use them with the “pages” post type, is default WordPress post functionality that CPT-onomies doesn’t mess with. This plugin just helps you register the custom post type. So no, this is not possible with the plugin.

As for being possible at all? Not likely. There is no way to “hook” into the page attributes meta box. Your only option might be a plugin, if it exists, that creates its own meta box and adds custom settings for using selective templates with custom post types.

With that said, you can create templates in your theme for your custom post type.
