    Hello,

I have the problem that my page-sitemap.xml does not update.

I made changes but as you can see in the link, there are old modified dates?

Among them are also links to old pages, which no longer exist.

How do I get this updated or the .xml recreated?

    I use Yoast with Elementor

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Greetings

    Hi @fabi1988,

Sorry to hear that the sitemap isn’t updating. Can you give us an example URL and what last modified date and time should appear?

You can regenerate the sitemaps on your site by going to SEO > General > Features and set the “XML Sitemaps” option to “Off” and then “On” again. Does this help?

We also noticed that you may be using WP Fastest Cache to cache content on your site. Does clearing your cache from any caching/optimization plugins, the server, a CDN like Cloudflare, or the browser resolve the issue?

If you are not sure how to clear the cache from a plugin, please contact the plugin author. If you’d like to clear the cache from the server, please speak to your host provider. To clear the cache from a browser, use this guide: How to clear your browser’s cache.

    Hi,

    thanks for your fast answer.

    https://webmutanten.de/sitemap_index.xml
Here you could see the last modified date “2021-02-10 20:28 +00:00”.

And here is everey Link old.
    https://webmutanten.de/page-sitemap.xml

For example this page doesnt exist
    https://www.webmutanten.de/teaser/

And this should be modified yesterday.
    https://www.webmutanten.de/

Regenerate XML-Sitemaps with the option “On” and “Off” also doesn’t solve the problem.
Clearing the Cache doesn’t solve the problem.

When I have a look in the folder I see that the .xml is updated.
    page-sitemap.xml 10. Febr. 2021 17:29:21 4.0 KB rw- r– r–

But inside the .xml there are all old modified dates?

Isn’t there a way to delete this .xml completely and recreate it?

    Thanks for your help.

That looks odd. Can you please try resetting our indexables in the database tables by following the steps below?
    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Hit the “Reset indexables & migrations” button.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “SEO Data Optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your pages.

    Does the issue resolve?

    Thanks for your help.

I’ve trying it and get the following error.

    Picture-Error

    Picture-Error-02

    Picture-Error-03

We have previously cloned the site to this domain using WordPress Toolkit. I don’t know if it can be related to this?

So all WordPress data and database data were cloned. Everything else works, so I don’t really suspect that.

Thanks for sharing the relevant information with us. Per your screenshots, you’re experiencing 500 internal server errors during the SEO data optimization.

Can you please confirm whether you have reset the Yoast SEO Indexables tables and migrations by using the Yoast Test Helper plugin (that we suggested above)?

If you did this correctly and you are unable to perform the SEO data optimization due to the 500 internal server error, we’d like you to please perform a conflict check. This will help us narrow down the exact cause and determine what the next steps are while saving you time.

You can find the step by step conflict check guide here https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

I have tried it but unfortunately it does not work and I get the given error.

However, I am 100% sure that it is not due to any plug-ins.
Everything works on the original page. After cloning, exactly this problem occurs. So I assume that there are some links going wrong or something else?

Is there a possibility to delete the Yoast database completely and reload it?
    Or any other possibilities?

We have seen similar issues before where the user was unable to perform the SEO data optimization due to the 500 internal server error and performing the conflict check fixed the issue for them. So, we have requested you to perform the conflict check in the first place before suggesting anything else.

On the other hand, Yoast SEO has no feature implemented that would allow you to remove everything from the database that are related to Yoast SEO. So, the best option would be to take a backup of your database first and manually go through the database to find out anything related to the yoast, yst, and wpseo to delete them.

I have now deleted the plugin, all files and all database entries and tables and reinstalled Yoast again. Unfortunately, the problem still exists.

This file is not updated for some reason. Not only are the dates old, but there should not be a “www.” here.
    https://webmutanten.de/page-sitemap.xml

We have deactivated the site map of yoast for testing, then the sitmap of the core is called via the link.

This looks like this. And that is also the correct one – everything is linked correctly. If we activate the sitemap from yoast again, we have the same problem.

It seems that some link does not fit?
We use Yoast together with Elementor, could it be related to that?

I want to try the method 4 at this link.
    Link

But I can’t find the init() I just see public function init_sitemaps_providers()

Perhaps you have a similar solution.

When I add new posts, they are added appropriately.

Unfortunately, new pages do not work.
