Support » Fixing WordPress » Page Revisions Module missing

    I just did a new install of WordPress 2.9.1 on DreamHost and the page revisions module doesn’t show up. I opened up the screen options on the page I’m editing and the option to select “Page Revisions” isn’t there. (Only “Attributes” “Custom Fields” “Discussion” and “Page Slug” appear.) Am I missing something? On other sites I’ve created with WordPress, I’ve seen the page revisions. Those were initiated with old versions of WordPress, of course. But they are on the same server, installed in the same manner. So, I’m confused. Does it have anything to do with the new trash feature?

    Thanks for any help.

    You have to create a post and add some content before you have any revisions attached to that posts.

    I believe that Dreamhost’s “One Click Install” of WordPress has the Page Revisions turned off by default. This must be something new, because my older sites have it enabled but ones I installed recently do not.

    The fix is to access your site via FTP, edit the wp-config.php file, and look for this line:

    define('WP_POST_REVISIONS', false);

    Either delete or comment out that line, then save and re-upload the file.

    Hi….I have added 3 pages to my blog and they working fine.
    I just had a look and now I am getting “404 Not Found
    The requested URL /photos/ does not exist.”
    How could this have happened?
    There was nothing on these pages that are prohibited by WordPress policies.
    Please Help Me … 🙂
    Thank you
