• So I rolled back to 1.3.10 until the fix for 1.4 is released. (Thanks Greg!)

When I hit the preview button, a new tab opens up and I get my page like I should. But when I go back to Page Builder the tabs in TinyMCE only display html. Basically the visual tab stops working and displays html instead of the normal visual look. If I refresh page it goes back to normal until I hit preview button again.

I’m not sure if this is a TinyMCE thing or Page Builder issue. Any insight?

    Thanks

    I fixed this issue in 1.4 🙂

I’m busy testing 1.4.1. Here’s a copy. In case you want to give it a quick run around before I release it.

Well, it seems that the problem I described above is fine, but there are is now another issue. Maybe you are working on it, but I’ll describe below.

When I save or preview a page it refreshes and changes the page name to sample page. This is the same funky thing I was getting earlier when I tried 1.4. I try to make a page titles “page builder” and the permalink generated shows mysite.com/page-builder/ but as soon as I publish, it refreshes and I get the weird renaming thing. I think it is just an issue with saving.

If I remember correctly, when I was using 1.4 before I was messing around with a page that I titled “Sample Page” so it may just keep referring back to that since it isn’t saving correctly???
I wish I was better at coding so I can contribute more. In due time 🙂

    Thanks

That sounds very odd. If it’s the page title that’s changing it might not be related to Page Builder. Well, I can’t think how it would be interfering with the title.

If you roll back to 1.3.10, do you still get this issue?

Trust me, you’re making a big contribution. Bug reports and testing are incredibly valuable 🙂

Just rolled back and issue is not there.
I think I understand the issue more now.

So when I use 1.3.10 and click “add new” under Page menu item it gives me a blank page. No auto-fill or anything funky. I can click on Page Builder tab and proceed as normal. When I publish page everything is fine and it reloads the page that I ust published to continue editing.

Now in 1.4 when I click “add new” it displays a page titled “Sample Page” and has a bunch of text. I’m pretty sure it is the WP default page because it mentions “this is what a sample page look like, go to your pages and delete this blah blah blah..”
So from here I delete everything, change the title and permalink to match the title, use page builder, publish. But when it refreshes it doesn’t refresh that page I was working on. It displays a sample page. So weird. But the page did publish.

If possible (and I understand if it’s not), could you create a temporary admin account for me? Under the email greg@siteorigin.com. I’d like to log in and see the issue in action to try figure it out.

Or else, could you try record a screencast of the issue in action?

I can’t quite figure out what’s going on there. You seem to be running quite a few plugins, so it’s possible that one of them is conflicting with Page Builder and somehow causing the issue.

My only suggestion would be to disable your plugins one by one and see if removing any of them fixes the issue. That would also help me fix what ever might be triggering the issue on Page Builder’s side.

For now, I’m going to release 1.4.1 to fix the disappearing content issue. I’ll try address this issue in a future update.

It would be nice if I could find a way to use this.

I think it has something to do with it creating a custom post type???

Should I contact them or do you have any ideas?

    no rush
