Support » Theme: MH Magazine lite » Page/Post titles and Next Post Hyperlink

    First off, awesome theme. Have only had a couple issues which I was able to resolve myself. Was manually able to edit the footer copyright. However, I did keep the MH Themes copyright/link in place. The other issue was with the CSS for tables. I found it odd to have all table cell text to be aligned center. I removed that CSS as well as the CSS table padding. If I have any padding or text alignment on tables or its content, I prefer to do it on a case-by-case basis.

    My current issues are with the titles of pages and posts as well as the “Next post” text at the bottom of every post. I’ve seen on another support post for this theme the CSS to hide a title. However, I prefer to fully remove the title. The reason is that I create my own title in the post and assign it H1 attribute. Having two H1 titles (even if one is hidden from visual view) may cause SEO issues. Therefore, I find it better to simply remove the title from the code. Which PHP file contains the code for page/post ttiles?

    As for the “Next post” hyperlink, it’s something I just don’t use in the way I have my site structured. I already have another method for linking related posts. Which page contains the code for the “Next post” hyperlink?

  • Hi Swamparoo,

    we’re not entirely sure why you would want to add the post / page title manually within the content. It seems that doesn’t really make sense and this isn’t how WordPress is supposed to work.

    However, if you’re familiar with coding, you could code a custom child theme and modify the files content-page.php and content-single.php based on your personal needs and requirements.

    The next / previous post navigation is added through a hook:

    add_action('mh_after_post_content', 'mh_magazine_lite_postnav');

    Feel free to unhook this within your custom child theme as you like. We can’t assist with custom coding, but you can learn more about that here.

    As an alternative, the premium version of MH Magazine includes an option to disable the next / previous post navigation, as well as various other features, options and custom widgets to configure your website.
