# Page permalink with -2

 * I have my WP site at [http://www.bicyclesmile.com](http://www.bicyclesmile.com)
   but I am having an issue with one of the page permalinks. My “about” page is 
   [http://www.bicyclesmile.com/about-2](http://www.bicyclesmile.com/about-2). I
   would like it to read [http://www.bicyclesmile.com/about](http://www.bicyclesmile.com/about).
   Thus eliminating the “-2”. I assume this is from the creating of a different “
   about” page at one point in time.
 * Any help on this?

 * Your assumption is correct.
 * A page will exist somewhere (possibly in the trash!) with a slug of ‘about’. 
   This will need to change before you can use the slug on another page.

 * Alright, well I found the original “about” file. Took it out of the trash. But
   I am still unable to make it the go to file. How to I change the permalink attached
   to the “about” button on my page?

 * Are you using a custom menu? If so, then you need to change the page there as
   well.

 * I am using a theme that I purchased. I am only semi literate when it comes to
   things like this. I can do it, I just need to know where to look. CSS, HTML…some
   other place?
