• Hey Everyone-

I’ve just step up my first page of posts:
    http://www.derangeddiaries.com/sick-beats/

As you can see, my Sidebar is being pushed below. I’ve read a number of fixes, and tried what I could. The Template I got from this site (pageofposts.php) is unmodified. I’m not quite sure how to fix this issue.

    Please help guys!

    Thanks!

    Update:

I’ve tried a few more possible solutions to no avail. I really need the communities help on this one!

I’ve created a second Page of Posts, but this one is having the same problem.

I’ve also noticed the content on the Main Bar is hugging the top of the frame too tightly (along with the Sidebar being pushed below):

    P.s.

I am completely aware that this question has been asked thousands of times before, and I’VE READ DOZENS OF THOSE THREADS.

This issue ONLY happens on my “Page of Posts” templates, I’ve looked at the code for an object that exceeds the width laid out in the CSS, nothing.

    Bubkiss.

Maybe your stylesheet needs tweaking. It appears that the right sidebar is too wide for the template and this will result in it being pushed down. The width of the content area in the style sheet needs to be taken down a few pixels so the sidebar area fits where it is supposed to.

Jankal thank you for your reply.

My theme features the ability to allocate space between the Sidebar and Main area. I’ve tried with it at both extremes (750-150 and 500-400) and all in between. It did not affect the sidebar being pushed down.

Also, the sidebar is ONLY pushed down on the Page of Posts pages (Sick Beats and Original Lyrics). It remains in its correct place on the Home, About and Contact page.

    Really is a mystery.

Have you looked at the padding for the sidebar and content area? I guess you have probably looked at that, but this is the only thing I can think of.

Hope you sort it out soon as it is frustrating as all hell when little things like this seem to bring things to a sudden halt. 🙂

Yeah I’ve looked at padding (0)

The real key to this problem is that it’s got something to do with it being a Page of Post’s templated page. Those are the only pages on my site where this sidebar error occurs.

Thanks for trying to help jankal, if you have any more ideas please keep them coming!

I’m still having this issue, it’s really the only glitchy thing on my site. I’ve been able to work my way through all other issues but this is the only real persistent issue. I would appreciate any and all help on this (guru or otherwise!).

    Thank you!

My next point of emphasis is building out my sidebar, but clearly I need to resolve this issue first!

Thank you very much for helping troubleshoot this sidebar issue. It’s only occurring on PageofPosts templated pages (a page that is populated strictly by posts within a certain category) and no where else. I feel pretty confident the issue has something to do with that template (as it occurs no where else).

I can upload anything you guys need to pastebin to resolve this issue.

I really want to resolve this!

Come on, where’s the community? Issue is still unresolved! I think it must be something in the pageofposts.php because that’s the only template where this issue occurs.
