Support » Fixing WordPress » Page of posts messes up my side-bar

  • I’m still testing my page out, but it’s supposed to be ready by tomorrow, so I’m under a LOT of pressure, so far everything goes alright, however I want to have multiple pages of posts, so I need this template working properly, this is how one page looks right now:

    as you can see the sidebar goes to the bottom. This is the only page using this template, if you check other pages like comics or whatever you’ll see that it works alright, so I doubt it has to do anything with the template, but then again I know little to nothing about php

    Also if you notice on the other pages (except the main page) there’s a white background over the name of the site and where the posts will be, it apparently dissapeared with this new template, anyone know how I can get it back? any help is welcomed.

    this is the code:

    thanks again!

    Don’t do that.

    Your missing a lot of divs in there. That template is very wrong and doesn’t define the new classes you called. Try copying the index.php one, and just replaceing the loop with your

    if (is_page() ) {
    $category = get_post_meta($posts[0]->ID, 'category', true);

    Ok so I have to pages, one for the main page:

    and one for my other pages:

    which one should I use (I’m ok with either tbh) and what code from beginning to end should I use from the page of posts template:

    really sorry for the trouble, I’m pretty much a noob when it comes to php, any help would be appreciated

    and sorry for the bumps

    I’ve been working on this for a while but no luck T-T
