• Hello everyone!

I am using the Vantage theme for my site http://brandonupc.com and having a problem with one page in particular that I know of that when I make changes to it from the back-end, it does not reflect the changes on a mobile device.

I know what you’re thinking… cache. Well, I have used the “Flush Cashe” option that is built in with my managed WordPress site. I have deleted all history, cookies, cache, etc on my mobile but still no change. I have even deleted the page, even deleted from trash, and recreated it. Still no change. I have also disabled all of my plugins, flushed cache, and still no change.

I believe I have seen something like this before where old content is showing and a file needs to be deleted for the updated page to work. I contacted my host provider and they suggested I come here and ask some people who know about WP.

Again, these changes do reflect on a PC, but don’t on a mobile device. Really the only thing that changed is that I added another column on an existing row, added a Circle Icon Widget on it and linked it to another page. I wouldn’t think it matters if I deleted the page and recreated it though. Just thinking out loud here.

If you have a moment, please check out the page. Click on the “Media” tab (not the tabs under it). There should be three circles – Sermons, Photo, and Video. These show up on the PC, but take a look on your mobile device (I have tried two phones and a tablet and get the same results). Only Photo and Video is on the “Media” page.

You can get to the “Sermons” page by hovering over Media and clicking sermons at the top as well as clicking the sermons widget on the homepage. Is there an old file I need to delete to update the page?

    Any and all help appreciated!

I don’t see three circles with my desktop.

I suspect you have it backwards: mobile is showing the correct page. You’re seeing the extra Sermons item on your desktop because you’re logged in. If you open an Incognito/Private window in your desktop browser and view the site, you’ll see it as a logged-out user does.

Thanks for your input! Why am I not seeing the 3 circles on 2 phones and 1 tablet though? Also, what browser are you using?

Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. All three show two circles on http://brandonupc.com/media/.

You’re not seeing 3 circles on the phones and tablets because you’re not logged in to the site on those devices, I think. You are seeing 3 on your PC because you’re logged in. Log out of WordPress, or open a Private/Incognito browser window, to view the site as everyone else sees it.

I appreciate that but the fact remains that the page is not showing correctly whether it be PC or phone that is somewhat irrelevant. Do you have any suggestions as to how to remedy this problem?

Thanks for taking the time to look into this!

    Update:

I just tried from my PC at work (Firefox) and verified that the updated page content is not showing under “Media” Not only does the circle widget not appear, but none of the edits I made to the other two circle wodges are being reflected.

Any additional help would be much appreciated.
