• I was just fiddling around with my link and menus. I accidentally deleted my home page with lead to my main domain name. http://www.mitchellwelsh.com

Now it says page not found. How can I get it back without having a .com/blah blah/blah blah and the end. I just want in mitchellwelsh.com again.

So whats this htaccess or something I’m reading about. I don’t want to promote my site as .com/category/123 blah blah. Help.

  • You have set everything to com/blah blah/blah. You have two homepages too.
Go to your dashboard and set your custom menu and custom permalinks to whatever you want. If you set it as com/blah blah/blah, it will show up as you set it. Work on it till you get things right.

I tried. When I go to my Pages to edit the permalink. I delete whatever is after the .com/ and left it blank, clicked ok and it still insists I .com/……./

    Try this:
    1. Deactivate all plugins,
    2. Switch back to Twenty Eleven theme
    3. Reset your links and menu
After doing the above report back. Do not revert to the current theme, until you set things right.
