• Hey,

I’ve been using the plugin for half a year now, but in the more recent updates something seem to have changed. Namely, now when people submit the attendance form, they are forwarded to a page which doesn’t exist. The problem more clearly is as follows:

With the preferred permalinks system, the events exist on domain/rsvpmaker/event-title-here.
This is the case for all links etc to events that I can find, with two exceptions:
    1. When submitting the RSVP form, users are forwarded to a page in the pattern of domain/year/month/day/event-title-here followed by the ?e=email string.
    2. That same, wrong url is also the one being linked to in the confirmation mail.

In all other cases, the correct url is used. The fix supplied by the plugin in the settings about permalink errors did not help this in any manner whatsoever.

Why is this and how do I fix it?

Having the same problem. I do get

    Error 404 – Not Found
Sorry, but your search lead to no results.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I’m having trouble debugging this issue, which I haven’t seen on my sites.

    Try version 2.7.6

Still an issue in 2.7.7, mine seemed to work as a default, then after changing *something* in the plugin settings screen it stopped working (not sure what, I suspect something to do with the rsvp link).

When you submit, the URL doesn’t read http://contoso.com/rsvpmaker/posttitle, instead it goes for http://contoso.com/year/month/posttitle which doesn’t exist. Hope this perhaps aids in diagnosing this! Happy to help in discussing this too.

Just to clarify, I didn’t change the rsvp link, I changed default email addresses etc, but I suspect on save something changed in the back end.

when I try to follow the example urls, for some reason I get forwarded to the Microsoft site.

Sorry about that, I was using contoso.com as a dummy domain (been reading MS manuals for too long). If you don’t mind I’ll pop you a private tweet with the actual site details etc.

I’ve setup RSVPMaker and I’m seeing the exact same symptoms. Any chance on sharing the resolution (if one was discovered)?

On mine it turned out to be the theme, which doesn’t play well with other plugins by the looks of it. If you set a future publish date, RSVPmaker doesn’t seem to generate the correct link from the permalink structure. The theme in use for me used future dated posts to show up a bunch of info in the sidebar about the upcoming events, this future dating in the theme in turn broke the plugin. If I publish immediately, all works.

If anyone is still having the same issues with the latest release, let me know
