page not found error when not logged into wordpress????

  • Hi,

I have a couple of problems with a site i’m developing using wordpress.

i have a page in my site, that displays posts of a custom type (market reports) which i have defined using the easy custom posts plugin.
the page is currently at this development address (http://www.rcs-advertising.com/WP-DEV/wordpress/experience/market-reports-1/)

If i am logged in as administrator i can see the page and it appears to work fine.
However, if i am not logged in, i get a “Page not found” (404?) error on the page.

I’ve tried to update the permalinks, as i read online that this could be a problem but this seems not to work.

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated!

    Pete

  • I figured out this problem!

The market reports post was in draft status (unpublished)….. this was why the administrator could see it, but the visitors could not.

a simple oversight… amazing what can be missed when its too late at night!
