'Page not found' error

  • Another bug that has been bugging me (waaheeey…) and it has started to affect my user count as well.

The ‘page not found’ (404 error) keeps popping up at random times. So far it has happened when I try to open a post from my dash, when I browse to my home page or when I try opening pages.

My readers keep complaining about it as well, but I’m running out of solutions. I’ve tried almost all things mentioned in old topics about this error: I’ve set the permissions in the htp access file twice, changed the HTML, installed and uninstalled plugins.

    I’m starting to feel desperate…

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried both options but I keep getting the error.

    Any other solutions?

Is there some kind of plugin list that I could check? I have a feeling the error might have something to do with that, but I have about 30 plugins installed so I don’t want to switch them on and off one by one.
