Just today, I had been working on my site. It was working perfectly and then I had done something with my .htaccess file which has caused all of my non home page pages (pages, posts, etc) to “page not found” error.

My blog is installed on a sub-directory, and the “404” is pulling from a blog in my main directory.

I re-created the .htaccess file to it’s normal default on the blog that I am working on, but unfortunately, I still get the “page not found” error. When I am in my admin section, the pages/posts load fine, and if i click “view page” i still get the error.

    thoughts?

  • Try resetting your custom permalinks to the default setting and deleting your .htaccess file. Then reset your permalinks back up again.

Perfect! Thank you! I changed them to their default ID, then when I replaced them back, they worked.
