• Resolved sarapk

    (@sarapk)

I run a personal blog that I host myself for a couple of years. Lately, it seems to be in a constant state of crash.

Once I login as an Admin I am no longer able to do anything. Whenever I try to visit Jetpack, Dashboard, create new post (or anything in the back end) I get either an error 503 message or a Page Not Found.

Since I cannot do anything in the backend, I do not know how to fix this. Web loading time is also very slow. I do not have this problem with any other sites.

    Please help!
    Thanks

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Thank you James! That has solved the problem although it has now undone some formatting edits to my site. I’m slowly working my through each plugin to update/install. Hopefully I find the root cause of the issue.

    Thank you!
