# Page Navigation problem

 * I’m having a problem that started when I upgraded from 2.7.1 to 2.8. There’s 
   an extra character in the “previous page” page navigation links on every page
   that’s not the main page.
 * So where it used to be `« Previous` it’s now `— « Previous` and I’m not sure 
   where the `—` is coming from.
 * I’m using theme [Black n White 1.0.2](http://zacklive.com/new-black-and-white-wordpress-theme/300/)
 * Any help would be appreciated.

 * Hi mattack,
 * you will find that character in the index.php file of your theme, open it in 
   an editor and search for `«` – that is code for « . simply delete the`&
   laquo;` and it ill be gone.
 * if you have problems with the code, post it here and i’ll help;
