• It seems that you cannot have a page named the same across multiple sites in this NfWP plugin.

    Example,

I have a page called “home” on my network site 3. So its URL is //domain3.com/home/

I am trying to create a page called “home” on my network site 2. So its URL would be //domain2.com/home/

Each time I edit the Permalink from “home-2” to “home” it continues to auto revert to “home-2”.

My suspicion is that network site 2 in in direct conflict with network site 3 in terms of permalinks and thus I cannot successfully create a URL for //domain2.com/home/

Without proper documentation on how to setup and configure network sites using this plugin, it winds up being a continual trial & error installation which (IMO) is a complete waste of time and resource.

This plugin has potential, but is still buggy, undocumented, and has a ways to go yet in order to be a prime time plugin.

    The author/developer’s thoughts?

    Hi frank –

I have not experienced a permalink conflict between sites on separate networks on any install I have done. My test install has /sample-page on 3 separate networks.

Regardless, this plugin has nothing to do with WordPress’s ability to handle multiple networks. It is just an interface to let you create and manage those networks.

If you think you have uncovered a bug in how permalinks work with multiple networks, you should report it to WP.

How do I report it to WP?

Nevermind…you’re right @DavidDean, it did not have anything to do with your plugin.

I had a page in Network Site ID #2 that had no permalink, but it did have a straggling slug called (you guessed it) “home”

So I fixed the problem by clearing that slug.

    Thanks !
