  • Hi

I am using family theme by theme hall on my site

    prettypinkpebbles.com

It is a beautiful theme, however, i am stuck with its header.

I want visitors to jump straight to the first post when they click on Menu Items except Welcome page, which is the home page.

    Please help.
    Thanks.

    Hi.

You can do it this way:

    1) Go to your WP Dashboard > Menus
    2) Setup a custom link of that new post you want your customers to jump to
    3) Make sure that custom link is setup on your main navigation menu.
    4) Save and refresh the site.

Let me know if this helps

    Thanks
    Vatz

    Hi

I tried that, by creating a custom link to my blog post on Blog page, it didn’t help. The header stayed static. and i had to manually scroll down to see the posts.

    Hi Ana.

Can you elaborate on how did you exactly do that pls ?

    Hi

I clicked on Menus in dashboard

clicked on custom links on left.

my first post is moment of gratitude

so in the url i pasted http://prettypinkpebbles.com/2015/05/moment-of-gratitude/
and in the Label i wrote: Blog

I must be doing something wrong i know.

Is there a way i can create an anchor?

    Thanks.

    Vatz

    (@janaminfosystem)

yes. You need to create Anchor tag within your home page. What you pasted was the link of the post. it should be something ending with a “…/#homemoment-of-gratitude”

Can you please tell me how to create an anchor tag. And if i need to do this on all the pages except home page ( which in this case is the “Welcome” page)

Can you please help me with a step by step process with the codes.

    Thanks.

    Hi Ana.

You can google and see how to create anchor tags for your site. Writing the whole process is quite tedious for me :).

    I did google dear.

Thanks to google-ing I could create anchor tags on same page.

But not getting a grip on how to jump the header and come straight on to the matter, when clicked on a Menu Item.

Thanks for helping so far, Janaminfosystem.

Hope someone has the patience to take this through.

    Regards
    Ana
