Page is taking over Category

    I’m helping a friend with her site. Just starting out. Yesterday we created a Music page and now when we click on the music category it brings up that page instead of listing the posts (actually there’s just one) that have been tagged with that category. That’s unexpected and unwanted behavior. Can someone tell me where in the theme or in the settings I can make adjustments to fix that?

    Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

    @ flick: No, the problem was still there. When I clicked on the Music category it opened up the Music page and no a listing of the music posts. It’s fixed now.

    @ esmi: Thanks so much! Because of what you suggested, I knew instantly what was wrong. So I changed the Music category slug to music-posts and that took care of the problem.

    Apologies – I misread your post and thought it was meant to show the music page, rather than that of the category.

    @ flick: No problem at all, flick. I’m just darn glad there’s people like you who are willing to help. Without that help, many of us (me especially) would be completely lost.
