# Page Error Unsolved

 * Hi,
 * I just installed wordpress and i’m new to this. Hope you guys can help me out
   a lil bit.
 * Problem : When i create a new page , the link appears on my site , but when i
   try to access it , i get The requested URL /insanity/gfx/ was not found on this
   server.
 * Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument
   to handle the request.
 * I have changed my .htacess to 666, and it still does not work. Is there a solution
   to get this to work

 * (1) Does your host support `mod_rewrite`?
    (2) Was WordPress able to write its
   rewrite rules to `.htaccess`? (3) What do you see when you go to `Options > Permalinks`?
