# Page editor (beta) blank

 * Hi, I’ve encountered an issue that occurs while trying to get into theme edit
   options (editing theme with blocks) it has been working for me last few days,
   but now out of nowhere I just get a blank page with a http request error saying:
 *     ```
       Uncaught (in promise)            
       edit-site.min.js?ver=3497072223e20a22d15e7212dd6da2db:12
       code: "invalid_json"
       message: Response is not a valid response in JSON format.
       <a href="https://codex.wordpress.org/prototype">prototype</a> > Object
       ```
   
 * Is there a way to fix this? Have I screwed something up?

 * It sounds to me like the browser is getting an incorrect response from the server
   when queried. My recommendation would be to take a look at the error log. There
   you should be able to see the error that occurred on the server side and its 
   cause.
