  • Not sure I understand. I think you’re asking:

    Why don’t links to my pages show up on my main page?

    If that’s your question, the answer is easy: Because you haven’t put them there. Here’s how:

    No, that’s not my question at all.

    There are 2 different types of content. Posts and Pages. For some reason it will not show my Pages content.

    I’ll give a link to my “Welcome” page.

    The title says, “Welcome to Housing 2008” but is not showing the content from that page. Instead it shows a list of my posts.

    I’ve built several websites using WordPress and this is completely baffling me. I have no idea what I may have done wrong. I keep going back and checking my coding, but it all seems right.

    Try changing the template back to WordPress Classic… to test it?

    Just a thought…

    Also, your page code shows MANY </div> tags – are they necessary…? I’ve not looked closely but look at the bottom of the page code – you have six </div> tags.

    May be unrelated but they seem odd to me ::shrugs::

    <div class=”post” id=”post-14″>
    <h2>Sen. John Edwards</h2>

    <div class=”post” id=”post-138″>
    <h2>Tehran is still dangerous</h2>

    Yours seem to be missing the Permanent Link to part.

    Actually, I see the same thing no matter what I click on. I click on the links at left, and I think I should be seeing a post, but nothing changes.

    Would you mind pasting your index.php into ?

    Sorry. Mouse over the links in my post above and you will see what I mean.

    Sorry. Mouse over the links in my post above and you will see what I mean.

    Just to clarify, my comment was referring to the links at spotme10’s site.

    I just tested it with a non-modified version of the default theme and the pages showed up just fine. So despite my constant checking and rechecking there has to be something wrong with my coding.

    @egyptian: Yes. They are all necessary. I try to keep them to a minimum as best I can, but it was unavoidable for this particular layout.

    @adamrbrown: I will post this afternoon if my last resort testing doesn’t work out.

    Fingers crossed.

    Well… I feel sheepish. I figured it out. Very elementary WP mistake that I should have seen. The loop was duplicated. I don’t know how I managed to have a brain fart and do that, but I did.

    Thanks for everyone’s help!

    We are having a similar problem. In 2.3 we had these pages working fine. Once we upgraded to 2.5 the content for our pages is not showing up any longer.

    I’ve tried deleting and re-creating these pages with no luck. Please help!!!

    Thank you!!!

    I have the same problem. Everything works on one of my themes, but pages/comments won’t work on the other, I’ve looked through the coding for hours and didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.

    Yup. I’m having the same prob since I upgraded. Incredibly frustrating. I’ll be watching this thread for insights …

    NewSunSEO, your link is to a page, it looks like posts are showing up just fine. So we need more information to understand this issue. Erin24 and karri, this thread may not be your issue, you might want to start new threads and post the URL’s of your blogs.
