    Hey, everyone.

I am having a strange issue with WP3 and GoDaddy. Of course, GoDaddy says it is not them, so I am coming you here to see what might be wrong.

In the last three weeks, I have put up two WP3 installations, one on a subdomain and one on a regular domain and this is my issue. I will get these sites up and running with every Page will working perfectly and then suddenly, after a bunch of page loads, one or two specific Page(s) will only load the contents that I typed in. It won’t load the WP “support structure” but only the “content” that I typed in, as if that were what was there all the time and I weren’t using WP at all.

The content is tables with both text and graphic images.

    Here is the site:

    http://www.mikesbiggestbatle.com

and the Page that has stopped loading properly is:

    http://www.mikesbiggestbattle.com/generals

  • That is pretty strange….not loding any other source code at all, just your post

How are you inputting the info? Typing it straight into the editor?

No … I do it as a copy and paste into the editor from Dreamweaver. But I’ve done that all the time in the past and it never caused a problem before.

And please note that it will work, for X number of page loads/calls from the browser and then *POOF*

The only way to correct the problem I’ve found is to change the page name (even deleting it and recreating it with the same name won’t fix the issue).

there’s no extra code coming from your copy/paste from DW is there? Aside from your table stuff? I know you said it works for a bit, just trying to look for any possible issues……

I just double checked and there’s nothing extra … just the table …

Okay … I got it figured out … something I never would have expected …

I was saving the table as an HTML page with the same name in the root directory: http://www.mikesbiggestbattle.com/generals.html

I never would have expected that my hosting server would wordpress would somehow seek out the html page when WP was supposed to be pointing to the WP Page.

When I moved the page to out of the root an into a couple levels of folder, it all settled down and works perfectly again.

    Thanks, Voodoo!
