 * I say: I get “Page Cannot Display” when I attempt to install.php.
 * You say: If it says it isn’t there, then it isn’t there!
 * I say: But I copied the readme.file into the wp-admin directory and was able 
   to view it, recognizing that the install.php _was also in the same directory._
 * You say: (Well…actually, we’ve not gotten that far before).

 * 1. Did you download the latest WP 2.5.1 from this web site?
    2. Did you unzip
   the distro onto your hard drive? 3. Did you, via FTP, upload all the files and
   folders to your server space? 4. Did you then attempt to run install.php from
   here: [http://yourwebserver.com/wp-admin/install.php](http://yourwebserver.com/wp-admin/install.php)?

 * Attempting installs:
 * [http://www.cp-plus.com/HRGBlog/wp-admin/install.php](http://www.cp-plus.com/HRGBlog/wp-admin/install.php)
 * AND
 * [http://www.bbg-pies.com/wp-admin/install.php](http://www.bbg-pies.com/wp-admin/install.php)
 * on the same server, using PHP5.2.6 and MySql 5.0.
 * Downloaded WP2.5.1 from here. Unzipped and copied folder(s – two installations)
   to server space. Completed wp-config file(s). When I run …/wp-admin/install.php
   I get Page Cannot Display error. BUT, install.php is there in the same wp-admin
   directory where I copied and can access the Readme file.
 * All of my prior WP installations have been a “stumble upon” process _at this 
   very spot_. I never understand how I eventually get it to work.
 * Would greatly appreciate any feedback.

 * Sorry. I seem to be missing the point. What might that MINOR FRIGGING DETAIL 
   be? Where should I focus my attention.

 * Jesus, if you couldn’t figure out what the POINT was from the above, then, frankly,
   good luck figuring out the server situation.
 * Simply put, you’re running on a windows server. That’s NOT the normal server 
   environment; most WP installs are *nix/Apache. And the five-minute install that
   you are throwing around in all your posts ASSUMES an Apache server. It’s a big
   deal really. So read the link I posted above. I’m personally not familiar with
   IIS servers, so maybe someone else will be along to help you with it.

 * Do you even have php installed on that windows box?… MySQL on there? No? perhaps
   later?
