    Hello,

Have been successfully using the Disk:Basic mode of Page Cache, including preloading the cache.

Then have attempted to use Disk:Enhanced mode. It works, except the preload doesn’t work – a cache page is only generated if you visit the page. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

One other question in regards the Purge Policy, what is the difference between Posts Page and Post Page?

    Thank you.

    Hello @blkpudd

Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to assist you with this.
The Cache Preload works with Disk: Enhanced ofcourse. I am sure about this and yet, I’ve made some tests and voila, it works. The pages are being preloaded in /wp-content/cache/page_enhanced/ folder.
The difference between the Posts Page and Post Page is that the Post page is for a single post and Posts is for a blog page.
    Thanks!

    Hi Marko,

Thank you for looking. Not sure why it wasn’t working for me prior, but does seem ok now.

I do seem to have an issue with Preload feature. It appears to be very server intensive (we have quite a good server relatively speaking AWS EC2 2vCPU 8GbRAM).

FYI we are providing sitemap URL.

With Preload set to 60 seconds, 2 pages per interval our server is close to averaging 50% CPU usage (5 min average). Without Preload our CPU is less than 10% usage.

    FYI:
If I increase Preload to 900 seconds, 30 page per interval the CPU is averaging 30%. It’s the same quantity of pages over time, but less CPU usage. Does this seem normal?

As I understand it the Garbage Collection Interval determines how long a page cache will last, therefore I have set this to 172800 to ensure entire site is always preloaded. Is this correct?

The Preload feature seems critical to ensure benefits of page caching. Do you have any suggestions for improving server efficiency for page cache?

I have read some support posts that talked about stopping preload automatically once it’s finished. Is this available yet?

Is there any way to clear page cache of a category of products? eg. we start a sale promotion of a particular brand and usually have to clear all cache but it would be handy to just clear certain category/brand page caches.

    Thank you.
