Page builder compatibility issues with plugins/themes adding shortcode buttons (4 posts)

I am finding that some of the themes and plugins that add their own shortcode buttons to TinyMCE, send the shortcode to the Visual Tab when I try to invoke them from within the Black Studio TinyMCE editor within Page Builder.

Everything works perfectly when adding the shortcodes within the BSTMCE editor in the widget section. But when you layer the widget on top of a page builder column, some of them send the shortcode into the Visual tab.

This seems like a fairly simple fix so if anyone knows how to ensure that the submission of the shortcode targets the page builder BSTMCE instance as opposed to the Visual tab that would be awesome!

please could you specify a plugin or theme that causes the issue, so that I can make some tests?
By the way I am in contact with the author of Page Builder as we already fixed some incompatibility issue in the last few weeks, so I think we will find a solution.

Im using Prima-shop theme in this particular case. I will do some more testing as well and remove all plugins and reinstall and see if I still get it. I have woocommerce installed and the woocommerce shortcode sender works fine so it is possibly the plugins or theme.

Here are the plugins I am using that affect the TinyMCE

    - Woocommerce predictive search
    - Author avatar list
    - Gravity Forms

I believe these issues are caused by 3rd party plugins that do not use a standard way to send content to editor instance.
I checked the source code of "Author avatar list" and it uses an hardcoded textarea with id content, so it won't work on any other editor instance.
I did not test the other two plugins you mentioned, but I suppose they may have similar issues, which usually should be addressed by the original author.
