• Hi there. When writing a post, and clicking back and forth between “visual” and “code”, any page breaks or spaces I put in are ignored. Clicking back and forth a few times completely takes out ANY spaces I’ve made. I can get it to look fine in the “visual” tab, but when i “publish”, once again, no breaks are there.

    Help! 🙁

  • Yeah, me too. I followed the instructions from searching
previous threads and disabled the Visual Text editor for my profile, then added hard breaks.

    Still no joy.

I was able to get it to work IF I posted directly from Windows Live Writer, but if I re-open that post and edit it for any reason from within wp-admin, the line spacing that existed previously vanishes and my post is all messed up again.

I often have multiple images in a post and need to have a paragraph next to each image. Then, I need a new paragraph to go with the next image. This often requires a few hard breaks if the text isn’t exactly the length of the image.

Or, sometimes I just want a longer amount of dead space…for effect.

I know this is free and I hate to complain but I really wish I could just have a few line breaks when I need them!

Though, I have noticed, the extra line spacing breaks my XHMTL validation.

    Stupid code.

Also, after posting a youtube video, it’s impossible to get breaks. So the text is just sitting there, RIGHT under the vid.

GAH Isn’t there some kind of mod who can help?!

I’m a newby at all this, but my problem is simple. I want a space (line) in between all my paragraphs. It does not happen. Anything I can do? Is that what you all are talking about too?
