Support » Fixing WordPress » #page and #sidebar background

  • Hey everyone…I’m trying to find how to clear out the white background behind my posts and sidebar areas. Essentially, I’d like to have a transparent background there, where my text would “float” over the main background of the page (graph paper design).

I can’t find out how to get rid of the #fff background color!

Site is http://www.fundamentaldesigns.net and ANY help is much much much appreciated!

  • if you are looking to get rid of all the backgrounds, wouldn’t you just scan through your style.css file and remove any background styling there?

you may not be looking for a background color either….you may be looking for a repeated image….

That’s the thing…I looked through my CSS file and found those specific elements and they don’t have any background styles applied. That’s why I’m so confused. 🙂

    oh…

#page { background: url("http://www.fundamentaldesigns.net/wp-content/themes/Fundamental Designs/Images/FDbg-ltr.jpg") repeat-y top; border: none; } is hardcoded into your header, that is controlling it I believe

I think that did the trick! I really appreciate it!

    for sure!
