Padding / spacing of my webpage

There is a lot of spacing between my navigation bar and content (look at about page) which is also there when I preview posts. What CSS coding would refer to this? Also, do I have conflicting CSS in my child theme style sheet? I created my child theme after doing some modifications and kept most content as I was unsure what I had edited – I’ve since got rid of a good bit of it but not sure if I can get rid of more.
