Oxygen Theme Slider Malfunction

    Folks,

    yet another request for some help with the slider function with this theme.
    Having read the other threads on this forum relating to this
    This One
    and
    And This

    I have followed all the instructions several times and am still getting a list of posts on the front page rather than a slider. Is this theme working OK with 3.4.2 or is it now deprecated. Would dearly love to get this running on my new site
