    Hey there!

I was experimenting with your plugin again to see if I can disable Oxygen in the future but keep any existing pages.

    My workflow:
    – current site built with Oxygen
    – install FDP
    – unselect Oxygen from all posts types, backend singles, and WordPress Core actions
    – install Blocksy, Blocksy Companion, and Stackable (as recommended)

After installing Blocksy, it doesn’t let me navigate to the Blocky admin page. It’s also loading either no CSS or some Oxygen CSS into the Blocksy global.css file – resulting in a broken layout.

Disabling Oxygen in FFP does remove it from the menu, pages etc, so I know FDP is functional. Just not behaving as expected.

I’m not necessarily looking to make this transition, but I’m curious if you’d know why Oxygen still happens to be interfering?

This happened on two servers and sites that I tested, so I believe it should be easily replicable.

    Thanks!

    Hi @sunnyt13

    Thank you for trying FDP.

As a quick solution try this:

    – Go to Backend => Backand URLs
    – Add a row and write */wp-admin/admin.php?page=ct-dashboard*
    – Disable Oxygen for that row

Let me know if you can then see the backend page of Blocksy.

In any case, I will investigate deeper to see why using the other settings doesn’t work.

    Hi @sunnyt13

as you know Oxygen disables the theme. Because it disables the theme you will not find the setting page of Blocks in Freesoul Deactivate Plugins => Backend => Backend SIngles.
This is why even though you have disabled Oxygen everywhere in the Backend Singles, you still have Oxygen active in the settings page of Blocksy, simply because you didn’t disable Oxygen, because you hadn’t the row related to the theme settings page.

I’ve right now uploaded version 1.8.9.0.3 to the repository, but it’s still not public. If you have a staging environment you can try it downloading from here:

    https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/freesoul-deactivate-plugins.1.8.9.0.3.zip

The new version will prevent Oxygen from disabling the theme in the FDP setting pages, and you should not have problems anymore.

If you test 1.8.9.0.3 let me know if it works. If you want to wait I think I will publish it in a few days. Until then maybe you can use Backend => Backend URLs as suggested in my previous comment.

I will close this thread. If you still need help don’t hesitate to open it again.
