• Hi guys,
New to the forum and in need of some urgent help. I don’t know what made me think this was a bright idea, but I did it…

I created a WP site using MAMP. I was finally ready to take it live on the web, so I uploaded my theme and all my post data. That transfer didn’t go over so well. So I figured, why not just overwrite the old “htcdocs” folder with my “MAMP htcdocs” folder on my website. I did that and now I receive this message:

    Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

I’ve completely lost access to my WP-ADMIN.PHP and WP-LOGIN.PHP. I realized I probably should of backed up my sites htcdocs before overwriting them… But I didn’t and now I’m stuck.

My site is hosted by GoDaddy. I figured I could fix these problems in myPhpAdmin. But I haven’t the slightest clue of how to access that either.

Much thanks if you can help.
