# Overwriting !important

 * I need to overwrite an !important in my css.
 * There’s a space below the navigation bar in mobile and tablet view that I can’t
   remove because of an !important. I don’t know where the !important has popped
   up from, and I’m also aware that it’s not recommended to use !important at all
   either.

   Unfortunately, I can’t give you the link of the website since it is hosted locally.
 * I would like to add coding to the custom CSS option. My best effort so far is:
 * [@media](https://wordpress.org/support/users/media/) only screen and (max-width:
   980px)
    .et_pb_row, .et_pb_column .et_pb_row_inner { padding: 0px 0 !important;}
 * I know that the problem is with the padding, as if I use dev tools and change
   the value of padding to 0, the gap disappears.
