overwrite or modify existing rich results data from external sources

    Hi,

    I´m using the free Yoast SEO plugin.

    Due to creating a product feed for the Google Merchant Center I realized that hundreds of my products images (I got from a partner shop) contain incorrect metadata (nobody knows where they came from).

    To get rid of the incorrect metadata I can use plugins like Smush.

    But deleting the wrong metadata means there will be no useful rich results data left…right!?

    Will the Free Yoast SEO plugin or Yoast WooCommerce SEO fill in the gaps with useful rich metadata again?

    After making a google search and looking into google images I get following products of mine (created by the google merchant center):

    When you mouse over it “licensable” is displayed!

    Clicking on it shows the info:

    Nobody knows where this info came from (I did ask the manufacturer) but it is within the meta data and of no use for me. Plugins like smush can remove this data…..but now the question is….can Free Yoast SEO plugin or Yoast WooCommerce SEO fill in the gaps (the removed data) with useful rich metadata again?

    No, Yoast SEO Free or Yoast SEO WooCommerce cannot remove such data.

    That was NOT the question. I wrote two times….”Plugins like smush can remove this data”!!!!!!!

    The question now is:

    After the useless data was removed by smush…..can Free Yoast SEO plugin or Yoast WooCommerce SEO fill in the gaps (the removed data) with useful rich metadata again?

    Provide the specific useful rich meta data you are expecting our plugins to add.

    This is getting complicated…how would/could I know which useful rich meta data Yoast WooCommerce SEO can provide!???

    I expected you to tell me what is possible! What I understood is that Yoast WooCommerce SEO is generating those data automatically?

    Yoast SEO adds the ImageObject Schema piece which describes an individual image (usually in the context of an embedded media object). You can learn about it here.
