# Overwrite Existing Post

   questions to be asked regarding this topic, so I guess I will start a new thread.

 * This plugin works like a charm but… Even though it deletes the old post with 
   the same name / replaces it. The new post still adds the this-is-my-post-2 (number
   2) to the end of the URL. The front end URL shows this-is-my-post but the backend
   shows this-is-my-post-2.
 * [@joey](https://wordpress.org/support/users/joey/), Is there a way to clean that
   up as well?
