• Hi, I’m facing a very serious problem with stock management in Woocommerce.

    Here is the deal:
Let’s say that I have a product with only 2 items in stock.
Then 10 users make their order of this product — because when they are shopping, the product is still in stock.
But when 2 of these 10 buyers have their orders confirmed before the other 8, these other 8 still will receive “completed order”, without the warning that the product is sold out, and without any change in their final order.

How do I solve this big mess??

Make sure that (1) you’ve disabled backorders on a per-product basis and (2) that you’ve set a “Hold Stock” value under **WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory**.

This will prevent customers from ordering more than what’s available (known as a backorder) AND return the stock to the order if those initial two order end up NOT paying for their order.
