I’m using the Notifications plugin to send messages to a groups.io account. The sending works fine, but groups.io doesn’t like the domain name that Mailgun uses, despite the fact I created a user with that. It keeps bouncing and I can’t figure out how to unbounce it.

Notifications has an option to send from another address (e.g., info@mydomain.com instead of info@mg.mydomain.com). This works with Mailgun if I have this option set to “No” https://www.screencast.com/t/iGVLk10FS2G

However, I want to use Fluent SMTP (for the excellent logging feature). But when I do, it overrides Mailgun and the address at groups.io bounces.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    Hello @jodzeee,

Sorry, we missed your ticket earlier. It seems like you have set up another from address from MailGun/any third-party plugin which is causing the issue. Usually, Fluent SMTP’s from email will be used to send emails from your website. Can you please check and verify?

    Thank you

(I think) I was able to resolve it by setting up a route in Mailgun. Actually, the intention was so that the bounce notification would come to me so I could fix it but somehow everything seems to be working now!

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
