Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » Overriding email-customer-details.php not working

  • Hi,

after lots of spent time figuring why it would not work, I have noticed that for some reason the template overriding of email-customer-details.php (in woocommerce/templates/emails/) is not working, the file is not found/recognized..

Other files in the same overridden folder are working fine, like email-footer.php for instance. So the path is correct (my-theme/woocommerce/emails/..), and it can not be caused by using a child theme (of Astra theme).

    What could be causing this?

    Hi @tezalsec!

This template can be overridden by copying it to yourtheme/woocommerce/emails/email-customer-details.php, as with any other template file there.

It also doesn’t make sense why templates within the same folder would work, just not this one.

It could be a conflict of some sorts, but I am not convinced.

Could you please paste your status report back here so we can take a quick look at that? You’ll find it under “WooCommerce > Status” page.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

I checked the status report and don’t really want to paste everything in it here.

I did see the override section, and that said this:

    astra-child/woocommerce/emails/customer-completed-order.php,
    astra-child/woocommerce/emails/customer-invoice.php,
    astra-child/woocommerce/emails/email-addresses.php,
    astra-child/woocommerce/emails/email-customer-details.php,
    astra-child/woocommerce/emails/email-footer.php,
    astra-child/woocommerce/emails/email-header.php,
    astra-child/woocommerce/emails/email-order-details.php,
    astra-child/woocommerce/emails/email-order-items.php,
    astra-child/woocommerce/emails/email-styles.php

So indeed email-customer-details.php is here too.
