    Hi,

Your plug-in is overriding internal queries from Elementor.
While building sections or pages with Elementor you can select on which Page, Post or whatever it should be displayed. However, your plug-in is overriding the search query when searching/selecting something. This should not happen.

If you select, in Elementor, “Pages” or “Posts”, you expect to get Pages as a result back, not something selected in the plug-in’s settings (in my case; Posts, causing Elementor NOT to be able to find any Page or any other Custom Post Type I try to select)

Please find a GIF here: https://gifyu.com/image/Zkyj, would appreciate it if you can fix it because there is no option in the back-end to do something with queries but also, I have to select the types I want to be able to search within Elementor and then deselect it to make sure that my search on the front page is still working as it was..

Problem has been isolated by deactiving all plug-in’s and themes, finding this plug-in to be the only one left possible to cause the issue – from there, I debugged and found out the plug-in is overriding the query.

    Hi,

I have fixed an issue recently for REST queries. This should fix this issue as well but it is not released yet. Could you please download and try the Dev version from here https://github.com/5um17/wp-extended-search/archive/master.zip ?

    Thanks

    Hey @5um17 ,

Thanks, that indeed solved the issue.
Do you have an estimate of when the plug-in’s new version with this fix will be released, so I can put back the original one?

    Thanks for the fast reply!

    Hi,

The development version has only change regrading Elementor and WC issue so it is safe to be run on production.
The next release will include the current changes however, it may take little time as more improvements are on the way.

    Thank you!
