# Overlaying elements – columns

 * I figured out how to overlay a two column row , the right column overlays the
   left image – by making the margin in design -150 for example
    I want to make 
   the size of the overlay also so it can be what I want
 * however when i do this on another row with 2 columns and I want the left column
   to overlay the right it does not work, the right column always overlays the left

 * Hi,
 * In Visual Composer, this can be done by giving a left column a higher z-index
   than the right. This will overlap the left column over the right.
