    Hi,

I am using OceanWP theme and wanted to add an overlay NavMenu (3 bar hamburger menu) for laptop view. so, I have used the wordpress plugin NavBarMenu for Elementor. I see that this plugin breaks with your theme. With other themes like the twentysixteen and seventeen, it works just fine.

I am using elementor canvas template with OceanWP . Base template is OceanWP’s Blogger

Also, can you tell me if there is another way to add the menu to a custom page design? I can see that your Blogger template has that menu, however the header section for that template is not customizable.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hello, try without Elementor Canvas. This page template removes the header and footer and in the footer, there is the mobile menu so it removes it.

    Hi,
thank you for replying. If I do not use Elementor canvas, I’m unable to edit the header section.
my intention is to add a secondary menu in the header section for certain pages

Hi, what is exactly the issue? You try to edit your custom header, but it doesn’t work? Have you checked this video on how to create a custom header?

That is the video I was following. At 4:35 is when you are showed how to insert the menu. When the menu was dropped in on the video you could see it instantly. When I drop mine in the section turns grey and there is 3 small dots in the center of the section.

In Appearance > Menus, have you created a menu and checked Main in Menu Settings?

@oceanwp, my issue is, I want the custom header for certain pages only. other pages, the blogger template’s header is just fine.
I think one way to achieve this is by adding widgets in the header section. but I’m unable to find the right php file to edit.

@adwaitatechnologies, you can choose a custom header per page/post via the OceanWP Settings metabox, you just need to create your custom header via Theme Panel > My Library, then you will be able to select it.

thanks but i’m looking for 2 menus( primary 3-bar menu and secondary menu beside the logo), which brings to my first issue – NavMenu plugin (Ovelay NavMenu Widget) breaks with OceanWP. I need to use the 3-bar menu, which does not function, when I’m using your theme.

Have you contacted the plugin author to ask him if he knows a way to solve this?
Because I cannot solve issues of external plugins.

thanks. yes i’ve. he is yet to answer.
my intention of raising the question here is because the plugin does not work only with OceanWP. it works perfectly with every other theme that i’ve tested.

Each theme is different, a plugin can work with a theme and not with another.
Have you tried to just change the mobile menu style in Header > Mobile Menu?

    thank you!
i now understand why the menu was breaking.
is it possible to source the OceanWP mobile menu directly from elementor canvas?

Hello, no because the Elementor Canvas remove the header and footer, you will need to use the default template.
