• Both the Title and the Tagline of my site overlap themselves. As example only, instead of just looking like “Title of My Website” (all on one line), the Title breaks off after a few words and keeps going onto the next line, with the two lines overlapping one another. So:
    1) Why does the title line break off and restart on next line, when there appears to be plenty of room?
    2) Why does the second line of the title overlap with the first line of the title above it?

    Same problem with the Tagline.

    Thanks!

  • its probably a style.css issue

    Even though there looks like plenty of room, the space given for that particular element probably isn’t large enough

    can’t help much more than that without a link

    @statelaw: Like Voodoo mentions, it seems like a simple CSS issue.

    Depending on the theme you are using and the CSS that is applied to both the tagline and header, they could overlap easily. At times it can even just be as simple as the font size or typeface that is used.

    If I were you, I would get yourself onto your Firefox browser (download it if you don’t have it already) and get yourself an extension called Firebug and the Web Developer.

    Those two extensions will make your life A LOT easier if your new to design or even a seasoned veteran. With Firebug active, all you need to do is mouse-over the two elements and see what code that is driving them. It works fairly well when working out issues like this.

    Best of luck!

    @rvoodoo: Nice avatar! 😛
