overhead of oceanwp plugins

    I installed Usage DD on a clean site with OceanWP Theme.

    The readings are in order: # of Queries, TTFB, Total time, Size.

    Reading are for editing an existing page. Incremental plugin additions:
    Only UsageDD: 18Q .39 .46 25.2M
    Add Ocean Extra: 32Q .42 .52 30.5M

    If I enabled all of them my questions were up over 100 and page load time was over 2 seconds. Of course this is in edit mode but the result is that I encourage you to ONLY activate those plugins you really really need.

    As an aside WooCommerce is a hog! added 20-25 queries and 2 second to first byte time. That was just from enabling it and not actually using it. Ouch.

    I’m not sure how these equate to run time performance but if you wp-admin screens are slow it’s probably due to number of plugins.

    Hello,

    Go to Dashboard > Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles and disable those files that you are not using. Let me know if I’m missing your question.

    Wasn’t really a question just an observation 😉 Was just surprised at number of queries ocean extra added. Maybe that not much?
