does the varaitions have stock managed or set to instock.
if so leave as is then go to inventory and set it
Manage stock is set to off.
This way it will ignore inventory and seek inventory in the varation
variation must say manage stock or shows in stock if you say manage stock you have to put a quantity in

Actually if I set a price for each variation it works fine, but if there is no price set I got the message out of stock again.
That doesn’t seem logical, does it?

Thank uou @techguysa !
I set all my variations to “in stock”
There is no inventory either in the product or any variation.
No checkbox “Manage stock?” at variation level.
see screenshot(s)

mines from feeds from suppliers so i have to manage stock.
dont forget to hit save in the variation box before clicking on update on the top right side.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! This is actually working as expected. If you don’t set prices for any of your variations, no variations are available for sale. The whole product is therefore considered “out of stock.”
Products must have a price in order to be sold, so you will need to add a price to at least one variation in your variable product for the variable product to show as in stock.
Let us know if you have any questions on this, or if you’re still seeing your product show as out of stock after you have added a price to at least one variation!

Thank you @jlundie.
Indeed if I set prices for variation it works.
Actually I want to show products and variations but I don’t want customer to be able to add it to cart, so I use another plugin, “ELEX WooCommerce Catalog Mode”, to be able to use my website as a catalog.
Anyway I know I must set a price to variation to have no more “out of stock” message.
Hi @patrickhaond,
Thanks so much for getting back to us on this! I’m glad you were able to find the ELEX WooCommerce Catalogue mode plugin so that you can have the functionality you need here.
I’ll go ahead and close out this thread, but please don’t hesitate to open a new one if you have any other questions!
