  • Our website was working just fine. Now we have the following error when trying to access our website:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Tribe__Container::replaceSingleton() in /home2/txxx/public_html/www.Kxxx.org/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/Container.php on line 84

    Please help!

  • In the meantime I just delated the file from the CPanel since I wasn’t able to log into the WP-Admin.
Our site is back up. I would still like to fix because we love the plug in!

    Hi there @bibigirl,

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear about this error 🙁

I’m glad you could recover the site. Do you have a staging or dev site in which you can try to upgrade without affecting the site visitors? We didn’t hear of any other customers reporting this so it might be an installation or configuration issue with your particular site.

If you indeed have a test site (or you can set one up), please re-try the upgrade and let me know if you still have troubles.

Please let me know about it,
    Best,
    Nico

Getting the same error here for a different site. I took out the plugin, too.

    Hi there @stephgc,

Sorry to hear about this 🙁

Can you please let me know which versions of PHP, WordPress and The Events Calendar you are running?

    Thanks,
    Nico

    PHP 5.6.29

    WordPress: 4.7.2

I copied and deleted the entire folder from the server. I can’t give you a version number for the plugin but it has been regularly updated. When I tried to fix the problem I was chasing errors from one line to another so I gave up and deleted it.

Thanks for following up @stephgc, thanks for following up!

I’ve shared the error description with our devs but they couldn’t find anything obvious generating the error. Do you have a staging site in which you could install latest version of The Events Calendar and activate to see if the error pops up again. In which case we might need to perform some troubleshooting steps to get more information about the error.

Please let me know about it,
    Best,
    Nico

Sorry. I replaced it. I used to have a staging site but that plugin was used for a long time and suddenly broke. I’m assuming it was a recent update that caused it to conflict with something else. Either way, I did not have the time to wait days for support.
